Development of Family Life facility at 197 Bluff Road in Sandringham

We were pleased to assist a local not-for-profit organisation, Family Life with the redevelopment of its existing facility at 197 Bluff Road in Sandringham. Family Life provides essential community services to children, families and individuals.

As the organisation’s head office, the facility was no longer fit for purpose and required a more efficient layout and upgraded facilities to create a functional and secure environment for both staff and clients.

The proposal facilitated improved and larger office areas and the removal of Council owned vegetation to enable a compliant accessible parking space and a reduction in on-site car parking due to site constraints. These elements required strong planning justification to secure support. This was achieved through a well-considered native vegetation replacement strategy and close negotiations with Council to demonstrate that the proposed parking provision was appropriate.

The redeveloped facility reopened at the end of last year, providing a renewed, purpose-built space to support their ongoing services to the community.
