As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Town Planner who is eager to be a part of our journey.

The Role: In this role, you will work closely with our Director and a talented team of planners, gaining invaluable mentorship while contributing to a variety of projects. You will help drive high-quality service by assisting with client relationships and the management of planning proposals. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in Victorian planning, gain exposure to VCAT, and support our commitment to positive planning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level specialist planning advice to clients.
  • Process town planning applications, analysis, reporting and the formulation of recommendations.
  • Discussions with Councils, objectors, government agencies and other interested parties to resolve problems.
  • Prepare submissions on behalf of Keen Planning for the Victorian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
  • Prepare and process planning scheme amendments and formulate recommendations for the Senior Staff and Directors’ consideration.

About You:

  • An eagerness to be a team player and contribute to the development of our team and business.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for our profession and achieving good planning outcomes.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience as a statutory town planner.
  • Experience with a range of planning applications in Victoria (preferred).
  • Ability to manage positive relationships with clients and Council.
  • Relevant tertiary town planning qualifications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and negotiate for great planning outcomes.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
