In that time, our company has developed a particular philosophy and approach (our Proven Approach) that underpins the actions of our company and guides our success. At Keen Planning, we pride ourselves on having a friendly team culture that supports staff and provides them opportunity to contribute to both the business and their personal success. We are currently seeking a Senior/Principal Planner that has the following attributes:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for success and achieving good planning outcomes;
  • A passion for our planning industry;
  • An eagerness to be a team player, mentor less experienced staff and contribute to the development of our team and business;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong verbal communication and report writing skills;
  • Ability to provide high level specialist planning advice to clients;
  • Ability to manage positive relationships with clients and Council;
  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a statutory town planner;
  • Experience with a range of planning applications in Victoria (preferred);
  • Ability to represent the company at consultation and council meetings and other public forums;
  • Exposure to VCAT is preferred, but not essential;
  • Ability to manage 25 to 30 projects;
  • Relevant tertiary town planning qualifications; and
  • A current drivers licence and access to a car.
